Many women complain that it is quite difficult to meet someone standing on the site: most men who are registered there need only one thing-sex without obligations. But is it really so?

, psychologist Ann Hastings, for the purpose of the experiment, registered on one of the dating sites, most users of which are married. Her experience in many respects refutes the common stereotypes that men come there only for sex.
Ann almost immediately with surprise found that most men on the site she had chosen were more interested in a romantic relationship than in sex. “Many of those with whom I talked, yearned for the signs of human intimacy: when someone is waiting for your messages, is interested in how your day has passed, and writes tender words in response,” she shares.
They liked the feeling of proximity and involvement, even it was built on fantasies about a man whom they do not know in reality.
“Did men send me photos of their naked parts of the body? That is, whether women often complain about? Yes, some were sent, but as soon as flattering comments received in response, this obviously reassured them, and we did not return to this topic anymore, ”the psychologist admits.
In search of proximity
When the psychologist asked men why they had a new partner, some admitted that he and his wife had no sex for a long time. However, this was clearly a consequence, and not the reason for their registration on the site. Many did not feel loved, but they were not in a hurry to get divorced-primarily because of children and family obligations.
One of the new acquaintances Ann tried to maintain relations after the betrayal of his wife, but the couple lived only as neighbors and remained together because of his sons. The man admitted that he does not represent life without children and a meeting once a week is unacceptable for him. Sexual relations in this pair have come to naught for a long time.
